Genuine products are products that have entered Japan through the correct route and are directly imported and sold by Japanese corporations or authorized import agents that have contractual relationships with overseas manufacturers and brands.
Authorized distributors have the responsibility and role to carry out the global unified sales strategy that the brand is aiming for, and to maintain and further enhance its value.
This includes department stores nationwide, watch specialty stores that are members of the Association of Japan's Official Luxury Watches (AJHH), and boutiques directly managed by brands.

Parallel import goods are those that are purchased by domestic parallel importers from "overseas intermediate wholesalers" and "overseas retailers" that have nothing to do with manufacturers and brands, and are sold wholesale to retailers.
The distribution channels of authorized distributors and the channels of parallel importers mentioned above never intersect.
Parallel import goods are different from authorized distributors, so you can set the price freely.
In general, you can benefit from cheaper prices than regular products.
However, as is often the case, lower prices can compromise the quality of goods sold and services provided.
In the case of parallel imports, problems such as inadequate after-sales service, insufficient product lineup, and counterfeit products entering the market can occur.

Parallel imports do not involve manufacturers or brands, so there is room for second-hand products to be refinished and then sold as new products, or counterfeits and other malicious products to enter the market.

Regularly imported products are properly repaired at manufacturer-approved repair shops under the manufacturer's warranty system.

Parallel imports may be repaired incorrectly with makeshift parts or tools.

Since the manufacturer's official warranty cannot be received, parallel import goods may have their own long-term warranty.
