About Tutima Glashütte
The predecessor of Tutima is a clock factory founded in Glashütte, Germany in 1845.
Watchmakers raised by Fernando Adolph Lange, later called the father of the German watch industry, became independent, established workshops and watch companies, and started producing pure German watches. They have created a new success story based on the precise technology and innovation spirit they built in Glashütte, and their traditional knowledge of watches.
Their technology and spirit have been passed down to date by Dieter Derekate since the 1960s.
Mr. Derecate continued to manufacture and sell watches using movements from other companies, and Mr. Derecate's management skill overcame the subsequent quartz shock in the 1970s.
