The reason for the world premiere is an innovative approach that compensates for the effects of gravity
The Quatuor Caliber was born after seven years of development. The four canted balances are arranged at 90° angles and work in pairs, linking five differentials. This instantly compensates for the effects of gravity when the movement of the arm changes position, and the Quatuor instantly completes the task that a tourbillon can do in a minute. While most Haute Horlogerie self-winding calibers have a frequency of 4 Hz, the Quatuor movement stands out with a frequency of 4 x 4 Hz. Today, Roger Dubuis remains one of the few Maisons capable of producing such complex calibres.
Made from multi-layered carbon, this Excalibur Quatre is 60% lighter than the gold version and has better ergonomics.
