PROTREK has continued to pursue advanced technology and design evolution in pursuit of usability as a genuine tool.
It is PRX-8001YT from the high-end model "MANASLU", whose name comes from "Manaslu", a mountain with an altitude of 8,163m in the Himalayas, which is also called the mountain of spirits, and which was successfully climbed by a Japanese team for the first time in 1956.
Inspired by the sharp snow ridges that resemble the knife ridges of the Himalayas, the hands and time characters are designed with sharp shapes.
The time characters are metallic vapor-deposited to create a sense of luxury.
The bezel is made of 64 titanium, which is harder and more scratch-resistant than regular titanium.
The city code is engraved on the bezel side.
In addition, the characteristic snow crest pattern seen in the snowy mountains is expressed by precise mechanical engraving on the titanium bezel and translucent printing on the entire dial to reduce glare.
The design is based on the image of a steep snowy mountain scene.
The real gear "MANASLU" was born from an inevitable encounter with Mr. Takeuchi, who challenges 8,000m peaks.
