The world view of underwater archaeology, which unravels the unknown history and connects it to the future, and the origin of the history of Seiko divers. A new model that combines the design heritage of Japan's first mechanical divers born in 1965 is now available.
Seiko's highest peak mechanical caliber "8L35" is adopted, and the dial design is inspired by the "astrolabe", a tool that has supported adventurers' challenges since ancient times.
A limited edition model inspired by the world of underwater archeology.

From the popular 1965 mechanical divers contemporary design, a limited edition model inspired by the world of underwater archeology has appeared.
Seiko has newly started supporting underwater archaeological research for the purpose of protecting underwater resources. Underwater archeology is archaeological research that studies ruins that lie dormant underwater.
The SBDX053 dial design uses the astrolabe, an astronomical instrument that has been used for navigation since ancient times. Combined with the heritage design of the Seiko diver, it has a very cool design. When I saw the real thing, I felt that it was more glossy and luxurious than the image, and it had a very luxurious finish. The movement is the 8L35 movement produced by Seiko's Shizukuishi Watch Studio. It is a special model that does not allow compromise on both the interior and exterior.
Limited to 1,300 pieces worldwide, only 200 pieces in Japan, and outstanding rarity. It was sold out by reservation at our store, but we managed to restock only one.
