In 2018, 35 years after the launch of the first model DW-5000C, the concept of "evolution of the exterior", "evolution of the structure", and "evolution of the module" realized full metalization and equipped with a Connected engine GMW- Introducing the B5000D.
Based on the DW-5000, which is the origin of G-SHOCK, full metalization is realized. A hard stainless steel material is used for the bezel and band. Reviewing the hollow structure, which is the core technology of G-SHOCK, and evolving the shock-resistant structure. We have developed a new shock-resistant structure that can withstand even a full metal case by sandwiching a fine resin buffer between the metal bezel and the main case.
By improving the band attachment part that receives the most impact and providing a relay point in the center of the center case, the impact applied to the band attachment pipe is reduced. In addition, the screw-back case has a solid feel, and the back cover is treated with DLC for excellent abrasion resistance. g-shockについて
G-SHOCK, a wristwatch released by Casio Computer in 1983. It was born when an employee who would later be in charge of designing dropped a watch and broke it. The team named "PROJECT TEAM Tough" created the world's first shock resistant function and succeeded in developing a wristwatch that is still popular around the world. In 1981, the product set the goal of "Triple 10" (10m drop strength, 10 bar water resistance, 10 year battery life), and continues to refine its functions and innovation with shock resistance as standard equipment.
