Pioneer of music box, Nidec Sankyo has gathered the best of technology and completed the supreme gem.

The new product "Orpheus KANATA" is the first domestically produced music box in Japan since its establishment in 1946, and is one of the few manufacturers in the world that has continued to produce full-scale music boxes. This is the latest music box that was completed by pouring our know-how into it.
This is the world's best music box that can be made today, created with Mr. Kiyoyuki Okuyama, a world-famous industrial designer who has worked on various product designs such as luxury cars Ferrari, Shinkansen, and traditional crafts. A skeleton body with built-in LED lighting that allows you to "enjoy" the detailed internal mechanism, metal parts such as aluminum, brass, and iron give off a solid texture, and carefully selected materials that realize the delicate and deep sound quality of "live performance". It is a masterpiece realized by fusing innovation and tradition, such as a new structure and the "artisan" processing technology of Nidec Sankyo's craftsmen.
In addition, the special sounding stand produced by the world-famous “Tendo Mokko” that is included in the set further enhances the sound of the live performance played by “Orpheus Kanata”.

The third music box "Smart Gear Music Box" adopting a new mechanism to replace cylinders and discs

The third music box called "Smart Gear Music Box" is "Orpheus Kanata", which is a redesign of the conventional mechanism in which "cylinders" and "discs" rotate and play "comb teeth". By introducing a mechanism that flips the comb teeth according to the score recorded in digital data, we have overcome the music box's biggest weakness, which is the limited number of songs and playing time. "ORPHEUS KANATA" can play 150 songs stored in an SD card with full chorus for hours.

About the brand ORPHEUS

A luxury brand named after a musician in Greek mythology.
"Orpheus" is a luxury music box that debuted in 1985 as a model that revives the charm of a masterpiece of the good old days.
However, there were many difficulties on the way to reach the rich tone that the craftsmen idealized, and it took a long period of three years to develop it.
Finally, we completed a unit that brought together many years of music box manufacturing technology, such as scraping each comb on the diaphragm with a hand grinder and adjusting while checking the sound.
The high-quality quality that comes alive with attention to sound down to the details of the mechanism continues to be loved by people around the world who know the real value.
