encounter with the universe
Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Meteorite

Among the countless masterpieces in this galaxy, the Omega Speedmaster is a celestial timepiece that illuminates the dark universe with its design, quality and historical significance.

Today we would like to introduce you to the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon ref.311.63.44.51.99.001 , which literally blends the boundaries of space and time.

meteorite dial

The most striking feature of this Speedmaster Moonwatch is its special dial, made from a fragment of a meteorite that fell to Earth in prehistoric times.

Prehistory, before 3000 B.C. when humans had no written language.

No one knows how long this meteor has traveled through space.

Thousands of years after they arrived on Earth, we finally met.

Widmanstatten pattern

Meteorite dials are famous for their Widmanstatten (Thomson) structure.

This is an intricate detail created by processing the nickel crystals contained in meteorite, and no two pieces are alike.

The Widmanstätten structure of the model photographed this time is beautiful, and there are lines drawn vertically and lines extending from the notation of co-axial chronometer to the 4 and 8 o'clock positions, respectively.

It has a unique, otherworldly aesthetic that embodies Speedmaster spaceflight.

Symphony of Sedna Gold and Gray Ceramic

Gold accents complement the gray meteorite dial.

Sedna, one of the reddest stars in the solar system Omega's proprietary alloy of gold, copper, and palladium, this gold is a permanent and reddish color compared to rose gold.

Adopted for needles, indexes, and bezels.
The bezel, in particular, is a combination of a gray ceramic tachymeter on a Sedna gold plate.

The combination of meteorite and Sedna gold is especially striking in natural light, and the sophisticated design speaks volumes about the luxury and exclusivity of this watch.

The 44.25mm case is made of gray ceramic.
The gray ceramic case, which is scratch resistant and can maintain its beauty for a long time, shines smoothly in the light.

The buckle is also made of gray ceramic.
Currently, only folding buckle specifications that are easy to put on and take off are sold.

Caliber 9300

Equipped with cal.9300 is Omega's in-house movement.

The decoration is a Côtes de Genève pattern.

A self-winding chronograph movement, the cal.9300 features a silicon balance spring and a power reserve of 60 hours.

Visible through the caseback, this caliber only moves the hour hand, making it extremely easy to operate, such as adjusting the time difference.

A timepiece that makes you feel the abyss of the universe

The Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon ref.311.63.44.51.99.001 celebrates our curiosity about the universe and is the epitome of modern watchmaking.

The meteorite dial, gray ceramic case, and sparkling Sedna gold harmonies invite the wearer to part of the universe, beautifully weaving the flow of time and human aspirations down to the smallest detail.

The Speedmaster headed for space from Earth, and the Meteorite arrived from space to Earth.

The combination of the two makes the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon an even more attractive timepiece.

Please have a look once.
